Teenage Gorgeous You x Café Trail – 22nd May 2017

Hi guys!

Just touched down a few hours ago from Bangkok and here I am updating my blog with Challenge 6 – which is also the second last challenge by Teenage Magazine before the conclusion of the TGY2017! I guess the biggest achievement for me in this entire challenge is to see that I can accomplish all the tasks that were given despite the hectic schedule that was ongoing. The biggest takeaway and satisfaction of being part of Teenage Gorgeous You is that when I look back at my works, I felt a great sense of accomplishment! Additionally, awesome friends and the lovely Teenage Team who are along this journey formed this unforgettable and fun 2 months!

The Teenage Café Trail happened on the 22nd of May 2017 and we were thrown with an unexpected challenge of “on-spot” video making and caption thinking challenge. The agenda on the day was to visit 2 unique and beautiful cafes that serves delicious food! We were put into a team of 2 and we get to carry out our challenges together!

Meet my lovely partner of the day – Chloe!

Our first café stop is none other than Food Anatomy! I’ve never been here before and was so glad that Teenage brought us here! The food at Food Anatomy is super special. It is served like in the form of a cube – Flavoured rice cube I called it. (HAHA). But you’ll be amazed by how creative and yummy these little cubes are! These flavoured rice cubes are presented in layers which each layer carries different ingredients based on its flavours.

It has a variety of flavours! If I am not wrong, a total of 11 unique flavours of these cubes were on display that day! They may carry different flavours/ amount of rice cubes each day! These layered flavoured rice cubes are the definition of pretty and yummy stuff!

It is sold at $2.90 per piece, $5.80 for 2 pieces and $7.90 for 3 pieces! For Instagram worthy and delicious tasting food, the price is absolutely attractive!

Chloe and I played a “chemistry test” game where we had to shout out the flavours we want to try together in counts of 3. And so, we ended up with:

1) Sriracha Pork Rice: Spicy Sriracha Pork, pickled cucumber & Sesame Rice
2) Green Curry Rice: Creamy Thai Green Curry chicken, coconut & Charcoal Rice
3) Pork Lasagne: Pasta Marinara, Organic Pasta & mushroom cream
4) Bacon Mash (I can’t really remember what is the correct name for it)

Happy us with yummy food! I personally liked the Sriracha Pork Rice and Thai Green Curry! Probably because the Sriracha Pork Rice had a little spiciness it in and it was more flavourful then the rest. The Thai Green curry is my favourite! Chloe and I were raving about it because it literally tasted like Thai Green curry with rice just that instead of eating them separately like what we usually ordered in restaurants, it is now all in one cube! SUPER GOOD!

The best part of Food Anatomy is that you can mix and match all your local cuisines into these cubes and have them all at once! Rather than having it in big portions and not able to get a taste of the variety of different flavours, Food Anatomy offers customization of choices for your flavours! Additionally, you can top up a few more dollars to make it a set! A choice of salad or soup and a cup of drink makes your meal a complete one! Thank You Teenage x Food Anatomy for the delicious and attractive-looking meal!

Next on, we went to one my favourite café – dal.komm CAFÉ! I mean if you are a big fan of k-dramas, you definitely will notice this café that was featured in popular dramas such as Descendants of the Sun and Goblin! I’ve been here and really love the food, drinks and ambiance! (partly because DOTs and Goblin merchandises were part of the café’s selling point too)

Enough said, just let me stick with my DOTs and Goblin characters.

Thank You Teenage x dal.Komm Coffee for the generous treats! We were served with different drinks and I had my choice on coffee (I know right, I am a sucker for coffee la) so I will eventually have expectations for my coffee. I would say the coffee is not bad but I still prefer dal.Komm’s honey grapefruit! Those who are making your first visit to dal.Komm, I would recommend that you choose the honey grapefruit drink! You won’t regret unless you hate grapefruit. :’)

The kimchi pizza was kind of special! Kimchi and chicken slices make an overall unique taste which might get you hooked on! A plus point for its pizza is that the crust are really thin! And when I choose my pizza, I want the pizza crust to be as thin as possible because I don’t fancy much carbs in a pizza. I want to have more stomach to digest the ingredients instead :p

Then, we were greeted with 6 different cakes which looks amazingly gorgeous! There were so many flavours and I am so glad we get to try all 6! (YAY)
I love the Sea Salt caramel & Mango flavoured cakes! :’) Yummy in my tummy with my desserts calling me baby~

I’ve to say I really love the food and drinks dal.Komm carries. Even without Song Joongki, I will still make my trip down often to get my coffee/grapefruit. But of course….. It will definitely be SUPER good if Song Joongki sits opposite me with a cup of coffee too. (HAHA)
